ABOUT
Alex Foote is an LA-based guitarist, composer, songwriter, and producer. As a guitarist, he has recorded or performed with a variety of artists including K.Flay, Louis Tomlinson, Bleachers, Sufjan Stevens, Maude Latour, Diane Birch, LPX, Kate Davis, Savoir Adore, Ron Pope, Greg Holden, Jaymay, The Gregory Brothers, and Matt Bauer. Among his noteworthy TV appearances are The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Last Call with Carson Daly, and the TODAY show.
As a composer, Alex has written original scores for a wide range of media including national and international TV commercials, internet ads, political campaigns, podcasts, and iOS/Android apps. Notable brand collaborations include Budweiser, YouTubeTV, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Nike, General Mills, Comcast, Airwick, BP, The Dream Feed, and Woolmark.
Songs written or co-written by Alex have been licensed by CBS, BBC, PBS, and Somethin' Else (UK). As a studio musician, he can be heard on hundreds of recordings, including those made for the 2016 Netflix series Gypsy, in which Alex appears as part of the on-screen band. More recently, he has branched out into playing guitar on Broadway, as a first-call sub on the Sara Bareilles musical Waitress, as well as Come From Away.
Originally from Indianola, Iowa, Alex lives in Los Angeles.
